What is Drama Therapy?

Drama Therapy uses various drama and expressive arts-based techniques to achieve therapeutic goals and facilitate personal growth. Drama Therapist might invite you to use both verbal and non-verbal forms of expressions, such as art, music, role-play, puppet, mask, sand tray, photo, video, poetry, movement, dance, ritual, storytelling, etc.

Sometimes it is hard to talk about certain issues or to identify how we feel about them—the process of Drama Therapy, and its use of symbolic expressions and fantastic reality, might help you express what might be otherwise difficult to express, connect to various parts of yourself, try out new attitudes and behaviors, and clarify what changes you want to create in your life.
